A practical guide to using the store: how to find the right part, what the codes on a product page mean, and how an order is completed. For short answers to specific questions, see our FAQ.

1. Finding the right part

Search by vehicle

The safest route if you do not know the part number. On the Vehicle search page you pick year, make and model in turn. Each choice narrows the next, so you never scroll through lists that do not apply to you. At the end you see the products recorded as fitting your vehicle.

Search by code or name

The search bar accepts more than one kind of query:

  • Part number (SKU) — the manufacturer’s code, for example the one printed on the filter you are replacing.
  • OEM code — the vehicle manufacturer’s code, as shown on the original part or in the service book.
  • Product name — for example “oil filter”.
  • Lubricant specification — for example “ACEA C3”, to find the oils carrying that approval.

You can also browse by category on the Products page, or by manufacturer on the Brands page.

2. What the codes on a product page mean

  • Part number (SKU): the manufacturer’s own code for that part. It is the most reliable way to identify it.
  • OEM codes: the equivalent vehicle-manufacturer codes. If the code on your original part is in that list, the product is its equivalent.
  • EAN: the international barcode number of the packaging.
  • Approvals / specifications: mostly on lubricants, for example “ACEA C3” or “MB 229.51”. They state that the oil meets that specification. Compare them with what your vehicle’s service book requires.
  • Technical data: dimensions for filters, viscosity and other values for lubricants.
  • Compatibility: the vehicles the part is recorded as fitting.

3. If you are not sure about compatibility

The search tools help, but the final choice is yours. If in doubt, contact us before ordering at info@pmfilters.gr or 2310 707095. It helps to have to hand:

  • the make, model and year of first registration,
  • the engine (capacity, engine code, fuel),
  • the chassis number (VIN) if you have it — it is the most reliable detail of all,
  • the code on the part you removed, if there is one.

4. Placing an order

  1. Add the products to your cart. You can change quantities or remove items at any time.
  2. At checkout, enter or select a delivery address.
  3. Choose a payment method: card through Viva.com’s secure hosted checkout, or cash on delivery.
  4. Before you submit, you see the total including delivery cost. See the Shipping & Delivery page.
  5. Submit the order and the confirmation screen appears with your order number.

5. Account or guest checkout

You can order as a guest, without creating an account. Note, though, that a guest order is not accessible online after the confirmation screen: keep the order number and contact us whenever you need anything about it.

With an account you also get:

  • your order history on the My orders page,
  • saved addresses, which makes checkout quicker,
  • a favourites list, to keep track of products you are interested in,
  • your details and preferences on the My account page.

6. After your order

Delivery costs and timescales are on the Shipping & Delivery page. If you do end up wanting to return something, the full procedure and the 14-day right of withdrawal are described on the Returns & Withdrawal page.
